Window Blind Choices

Ambria Roman Shades

Ambria Roman Shades Give Style

Many people are looking for a way to make their house or the rooms look a little bit different these days, and one of the ways this can be achieved is by choosing a unique window covering. One of the more popular choices is Ambria Roman shades, because they allow you to achieve a high level of privacy, while having a design which is not intrusive and will create a real feeling of ambiance in most rooms, including the bedroom or the kitchen. They also offer insulated qualities, enabling you to keep a room warm and in some cases cut down on your heating bills. In this case you should look for specifically insulated Roman shades which should have the insulation figure quoted on the packaging.

The other plus of choosing this type of window covering is that they are available in many different materials, including synthetic materials such as plastic or vinyl, and also fully natural materials such as bamboo. For those looking for something a little bit special, sheer Roman shades could also be a good choice, though these may be a little bit lightweight for some people.

You will also want to think about the type of color available. There are some vibrant colors available, though black roman shades always have been a very popular choice. If you want something that adds a feeling of spaciousness to your room, then you cannot go far wrong with white or a muted color like pale blue.

For the top-quality choice, consider the 72" roman shade from the SelectFusion Elegant collection. Costing about $350, these shades insulate the window so saving on heating costs. Using a standard lift system it has a color-coordinated headrail and is white on the exterior. Widths range from 14" to 96", with a maximum height of 108" The standard headrail is 1 1/7" deep x 5/8" tall, while the kit conforms with CPSC child safety guidelines.

Insulated coverings

A slightly cheaper offering are the premium silk Roman shades. Retailing at around $290, these have a white polyester privacy lining, a wooden headrail and 6" valance. Maximum width is 96" and maximum height is 96". Also take a look at Ambria 36" x 72" Antique Pearl day & night shades, an insulated privacy shade that's easy to operate and install. But to get the real tropical look, a great choice can be ambria roman shades in Rangoon green tea colors, which adds real tranquility. Retailing at $34.99, these measure 48" x 72" and are suitable for outside or inside mount. These are designer roman blinds, a semi private blind that is also an environmentally friendly eco-conscious product made from renewable bamboo.;

For most people, the standard sizes will be enough to provide the correct window covering, though it may be a fact that in some cases a custom roman shade may be the only real choice, particularly if you have very large windows. It can also be that you may want a particular design made to fit in with the other decoration in the room, and although these are not a cheap option, in fact they can be very expensive, having a custom-made window shade can really add to the design like nothing else.

Window shade prices

So when you're looking at roman shade prices, bear in mind that the cheaper roman shades will only give you a standard design. Sizes will usually vary though a standard size is usually about 31 inches with a 17 inch drop. These can be bought for around $20 in many different stores, though if you want something in an expensive material, for instance something such as the snow classic shade, you may need to pay upward of $50 or more.

One of the more common types are Hunter Douglas shades, and you can often order these over the internet, which means you may be able to find a discount version. Whichever you decide to go for, you will find that this window covering is one of the best choices you can make for almost any room in the house.

I decided to go with this style as well just because it is so very different to most of the other window shade styles on the market. I am really glad I did this because now my room looks absolutely wonderful.

I really like to have something original in my house, and so when I came to replace the blinds a few months ago I wanted to find something that was unique. After looking around the site I think I am going to go with some Ambria Roman shades because it seems they will give me the style I am looking for along with some great room darkening qualities.
